Knife Wielding Home Invasion, Garage Break and Enter and a Suspicious Fire


(DRYDEN, ON) – On March 5, 2019, the Dryden Police Service responded to a domestic incident after a 37-year-old male forcibly entered a home in North Dryden, assaulted a 35-year-old female and a 49-year-old male with a knife. The 49-year-old victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and later released.

The accused, who cannot be identified to protect the identity of the victims, has been charged with:

  • 2 counts of Domestic Assault with a weapon.
  • Break and Enter to a Dwelling.
  • Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public.

The accused remains in custody and will appear in Dryden Court on Monday, March 11, 2019.

Police are also investigating a break and enter to a garage which occurred in the Wilson Street area sometime overnight on March 3, 2019. Items that were taken include a drill and a grinder. Suspicious Fire Under Investigation
