Section of Dawson Road to Undergo Construction

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The City of Thunder Bay has announced some road work being done on Dawson Road which will interrupt traffic. Below is the information they released.

Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, Dawson Road, between Fassina Street and Strand Avenue, will undergo road construction.

Work will include asphalt resurfacing and repairs to the curb and gutter, and catch basins.

Lane closures will occur during the work and traffic may be delayed during busy times.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to take alternate routes if possible, use extra caution, and obey all posted signage when travelling near the construction area.

Business within the construction zone will remain open as usual. The work is expected to last four to five weeks.

  1. The 24 hour transports should love that along with the residents in the area. Will have to be done every year when allowing every cross province or Country tuck to use this municipal road. Tax payers pay big-time on that stretch alone.

  2. Its kind of stupid that they chose to start this project so late in the year, especially at the EXACT same time school is starting back up. That area is busy when school isn’t running, now it’s doing to be a complete gongshow up there. Thank GOD I don’t travel that area, and to everyone else that does, I wish you luck!!
