(THUNDER BAY, ON) – An unusual sighting early this evening along Balmoral which brought a vehicle to it’s knees.

A small vehicle was crippled along the side of the road and appears to have had both driver side tires sheared off the bolts. People have said the vehicle seems to be “too tired” to go on….

Police were on scene with record time, as the incident unfolded almost directly in front of Hotel Balmoral.

A second vehicle was also on location, a pickup truck, but it could not be confirmed if this vehicle was involved due to being struck by a tire or by the disabled vehicle itself. Alternatively, the truck could be there just as someone who is picking up the driver of the driver-side wheelless-wonder.

Lets put out a public announcement regarding the importance of having your lugnuts (bolts) tightened on your vehicle after you have your winter boots put on your vehicle because this can and does happen when you least expect it.

A tow truck was en route at the time we came across this accident. The curbside lane is closed to traffic, and we are asking everyone to drive by at a reduced speed, and with caution as police are on the scene.

Drive safe, Thunder Bay.
