COLLISION: Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on May Street

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Around 7:40 pm this evening a person was struck on May Street by a vehicle.

Residents in the area say that the person was struck by a vehicle that was travelling roughly 50 km/h.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service have closed off a portion of May Street near Cummings.

Superior North EMS picked up the victim and rushed them to hospital.

Injuries are expected to be serious from this incident. A mother that was coming home from the Parade of Lights informed us of this incident along with numerous other news-tipsters. Thank you all for that, it is greatly appreciated.

  1. Doesn’t surprise me. People are darting across that street like squirrels, not even looking both ways and wearing baggy hoods for the most part. Common sense? Naww.
