(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A sad and tragic event unfolded in the city’s north side this afternoon.
A woman had a room at the Travelodge and was indulging in some cocaine. The woman got terribly high to the point she became concerned about her health.
Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service along with Superior North EMS paramedics responded to the 911 call that went out regarding the situation.
The woman was visibly pregnant and was overheard speaking to that fact. Estimates peg her at between five and six months pregnant.
First responders assisted the woman and she was transported to the emergency department of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to have her medically assessed and the baby checked over.
