(VIDEO) THEFT: Donation Box Heist

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A small business in Thunder Bay has been the victim of a theft which saw the donation box to a dog rescue being stolen.
”Unfortunately donation jars at small businesses are becoming a thing of the past.” A Pet-Tastic spokesperson stated.

“Certain individuals, like the middle aged man pictured in this post, feel that it is ok to steal money…” they continued “Our donation jar for Paws for Love was stolen yesterday around 3:40pm”

“The jar was secured with Velcro to deter this from happening. The man was chatty and friendly, came back and fourth to the till a few times where he worked the Velcro loose.”

”He asked questions, had my staff show him products and even used the phone to discuss what product his “wife” needed. It’s unfortunate that he was able to distract my staff into thinking that he was a decent member of society, meanwhile he was able to steal the jar right under their noses.”

Anyone who knows this man is asked to name drop. Alternatively you can contact police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at their website p3tips.com/273.
