Two Collisions Over the Noon Hour – Both on Isabel Street

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The noon hour kept the Thunder Bay Police Service and Superior North EMS busy for the most part. Two intercity collisions slowed traffic down temporarily in the area.

The first collision (white car photo – community submitted) that was reported to us was at the intersection of Isabel Street and May Street, which involved two vehicles. Some significant damage was sustained to both vehicles but no serious injuries are expected. Police, fire, and ambulance responded.

Police had traffic control in place which helped sort traffic out during the aftermath of the incident. Tow trucks were dispatched to help clear the area.

The second collision(main photo) reported to our news team saw two cars collide at the intersection of Main Street and Isabel Street. Both vehicles also sustained substantial damage to their front ends. The reddish coloured car appeared to have some driver side front wheel damage. Police was on scene directing traffic as it was reduced to one lane that was alternating traffic flow from each direction.

Nobody is believed to have suffered any major injuries from the second collision either. Tow trucks were dispatched to this incident as well and is expected to be cleared up already if not soon. Police fire and ambulance also responded to this scene as well.

Consuming drugs or alcohol before driving, even hours before impairs your judgement and can cause you to not only put your own life in danger but the lives of other people on the road.
