(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Around 5:40 pm we received information via our tip email tips@trcctb.com regarding a transport that has flipped over on an area highway. The Ontario Provincial Police officers along with Superior North EMS paramedics have responded to the scene of the collision.

It is still too early to tell if any serious injuries have been suffered regarding this incident. What we do know is that the highway is at least partially closed due to the incident.

What we do know is that traffic control is in place, to help sort out traffic around the collision. We are not sure if any vehicles other than the transport are involved.

If at all possible, it is advised that motorists avoid the area if at all possible.

The area that the collision happened is the subject of much highway safety discussion, including the need for safer highways in northern Ontario communities. Sistonen’s corner is where Highway 11/17 and Highway 102 (Dawson Road) intersect.

Anyone with additional photos of the incident, or any more information is urged to email it to tips@trcctb.com

This is a developing story, and we will update it as more information becomes available.

    1. the only way to tell if it was Balldeep at the wheel is to look for 2 liter bottles of piss strewn across the road

  1. Apparently panicked when he heard a big snow storm was coming, decided to preemptively wipe out. Not even any snow falling out here yet.

  2. Probably another case of distracted driving. He must have hit that corner pretty fast to roll it like that. Good thing his was the only vehicle involved.
