Substantial Rainfall to hit Thunder Bay and Area

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Thunder Bay and surrounding area are in for some substantial rainfall tomorrow.
Below are the details from Environment Canada.
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Cloud Bay – Dorion
  • Kakabeka Falls – Whitefish Lake – Arrow Lake

Significant rainfall expected Monday night.
Rain will begin Monday afternoon. Total rainfall amounts of 40 to 50 mm are expected before the rain tapers off to a few showers on Tuesday morning.
The rain is the result of a Colorado Low that will track over Northwestern Ontario Monday night into Tuesday.
