(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Synergy North (formerly Thunder Bay Hydro), is reporting a south side power outage that has rocked members of the general public.

They say that a power outage is impacting up to 250 customers south of Arthur Street and north of Walsh.

Crews are hard at work diagnosing and working towards solving the issue.

Power is estimated to be fully restored around 1!:30 pm.

Anyone with vulnerable friends or family that live in or near the outage zone should contact these people to ensure they are ok.

This is a good reason to always have your smartphones fully or near fully charged.

  1. Or…maybe have a landline with a corded phone? I’ve got a rotary dial in my kitchen that is specifically for if the lights go out! Cell towers only last so long in a real outage…so I’ll spend the extra to have a real phone.
