(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Over the last 24 hours, there have been a number of overdoses, one we already wrote about on High Street.

There was another overdose in the bathroom at Grandview Mall. Staff found a person unresponsive with used needles and a baggy containing a purple substance.

The person was narcanned back to life along with some CPR. Superior North EMS paramedics transported the person to the hospital’s emergency room where they were monitored for a short time before being released.

Later in the day, a man was found overdosing in his pick-up truck in the parking lot between the Superstore and A&W.

The man was completely unresponsive, even to being slapped. Narcan was given to him along with CPR. That combination of life-saving measures appears to have worked as the man was revived soon after. He was also transported to the hospital’s emergency department for further medical assessment. He was also in possession of purple down and used needles.
