(THUNDER BAY, ON) – FLIP FLOP, YOU DON’T STOP. A GOOD REMINDER TO THE PUBLIC…..DON’T DO DRUGS
THUNDER BAY POLICE ARREST CRYSTAL ANNE LEDUC WANTED ON COMMITTAL WARRANT.
LEDUC WAS FEATURED FOR ABOUT A MONTH IN FEBRUARY 2018 ON WANTED WEDNESDAY AND HER PICTURE WAS TAKEN DOWN EVEN THOUGH SHE WASN’T ARRESTED.
Appearing this morning, Saturday March 2, 2019 via telephone from the Thunder Bay Hospital in Bail Courtroom 104 is convicted criminal 34 year old CRYSTAL ANNE LEDUC.
It is not known why she is in hospital, but one might assume it is because of the FLIP FLOP. (See attached video done on February 28,2019. Make sure volume is up for it)
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon is presiding. Provincial Crown Derrick Silvestro is here along with Duty Counsel Marilyn Thompson.
LEDUC was arrested early this morning by our hardworking TBPS Officers on 2 warrants. An arrest and a committal warrant.
LEDUC was sentenced by POA Court last year to 7 days in jail and a fine for Driving while Suspended. She never attended her sentencing and a committal warrant was issued.
The court hears her lawyer is David Bruzzese.
LEDUC is also facing charges of breaching her probation order that was made on March 24,2016. LEDUC was supposed to report to Probation on her release from jail for the robbery of Janzen’s Pharmacy on January 15,2015.
It’s alleged that she never reported to Probation.
Crown Attorney Silvestro is opposed to her release by virtue of the committal warrant and it’s a reverse onus situation.
LEDUC will appear by video from the Correctional Center on Wednesday March 6,2019 when she will have effectively served her 7 day sentence (5 days X 1.5 enhanced = 7.5 days credit). The Crown may change their position on Wednesday.
As per usual practice from the Director of Communications at TBPS, it seems he has deemed it not necessary to notify the public about wanted criminals being caught or at large.
