(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Well it’s Wednesday, and with that comes a single wanted persons outstanding charges, photo, age and name released by the Thunder Bay Police Service for the public to hopefully assist in locating the individual.

The Wanted Wednesday program used to feature 4 people weekly and was deemed a success by the police service. Since then it has been scaled back to one person a week, citing not enough wanted individuals meet the criteria for the program.

The following people are currently WANTED on outstanding bench and/or committal warrants by the Thunder Bay Police Service.

THIS WEEKS MOST WANTED

31-year-old Shelley Ann “Hidden in camo” Achneepineskum is this weeks MOST Wanted Wednesday feature. Police have only described her by stating her sex is female. There is no height, weight, or identifying features such as a tattoo or even length or colour of hair.

It’s possible the director of communications could not see past her camo to make out these details. Luckily, our front line officers are not as easily fooled.


STILL WANTED

29-year-old Maigan “Straight Smile” Ashley Cheesequay. She is currently wanted by the Thunder Bay Police Service as well as the RCMP for breaching her parole conditions.

Maigan Ashley Cheesequay is a first time federal offender, serving a three year sentence for:

  • Robbery.
  • Aggravated Assault.
  • Fail to comply.

She was released from federal custody on Statutory Release March 22, 2018. A Canada Wide Warrant was issued for her arrest on May 1, 2018 due to her whereabouts being unknown. She was also the subject of a missing person report in November of 2018, but was located safely. It is not known if she is still wanted Canada-wide.

She has known relatives residing in Armstrong, Ontario, Canada. Police are working in conjunction with Correctional Services Canada.

47-year-old Jeffrey Brian “Neck Vein” Mayhew is currently WANTED by the Thunder Bay Police Service for an outstanding charge of Assault with a Weapon. Mayhew was wanted about 7 years ago in Sault Ste. Marie for:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering Death Threats
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Court Order
  • Breach of Probation

Mayhew is described as 5’11″ tall weighing 200 pounds with a fair complexion. Sault Ste. Marie Police have previously said that the public should not approach Mayhew as he is considered dangerous and may have a weapon.

On March 28th, 2012 Mayhew was the subject of a Sault Ste. Marie Police media release in which they were seeking the public’s help locating him. On May 12th, 2012 the Sault Ste. Marie Police issued a release notifying the public that Mayhew had been apprehended. Below is the police media release regarding his previous capture.

The accused, Jeffrey Brian Mayhew was located in a combined effort by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service’s Patrol Division and Street Team around 8:45 this morning on Trunk Road in Sault Ste. Marie.

He was arrested without incident and has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of threatening death, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of possession of a weapon contrary to a court order, and two counts of breach of probation.
