(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Active Weapons Call at Southern Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. Please Avoid The Area.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the area of McMillan Street and Southern Avenue following reports of a stabbing just before 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 22.

Paramedics have transported a male victim in his early 20’s to the hospital with a stab wound to the right side of his chest near his under arm. It is alleged he was assaulted by another male who police are actively looking for.

Police are now holding the scene at the pedestrian bridge at Southern Avenue and McMillan Street.

For your safety and officer safety the public is being asked to avoid this area.

  1. Wow they are getting brazen now daylight late afternoon and stabbing on a main busy street. Hope they find who did it soon before he hurts someone else. Getting to dangerous to even go out in the daylight now hopefully someday we can call ourselves safe to walk alonel
