(KAMINISTIQUIA, ON) – A collision has once again unfolded on the stretch known as Highway 102 / Dawson Road.
EARLIER: Initial reports we have received from passers by tell us that a transport may have struck a tractor.
Members from the Ontario Provincial Police, Superior North EMS and the Kaministiquia Fire and First Response are on scene.
Traffic control is in place. Please avoid the area if possible and schedule significant travel delays if you must go through the area.
Injuries are uncertain at this point, but serious injuries are possible. A school bus of kids report that they saw a man unresponsive and laying on the road with what appeared to be blood all around him.
This is a developing story and we will update it. If you have a photo from the scene, please text it to 807-355-8917 or email
UPDATE: We have found out that a tractor was being towed by a truck. The mechanism used to connect the two vehicles snapped, which resulted in the tractor rolling backwards and tipping onto it’s side. A male was pinned under the tractor for some amount of time. Once the tractor was lifted and he was able to get out from under the machine, he was walking around fine and refused medical attention at the scene.
