(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Another highway collision has happened in the region today, this time closer to Thunder Bay.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 61 and Broadway this afternoon.

No serious injuries are expected to arise from the incident.

Police are on location, sorting out the situation.

Motorists are reminded that when first responders, such as police, paramedics, firefighters and tow truck drivers are working on or near a roadway, motorists need to “slow down and move over!”, as required by law.

Expect possible delays and slow-moving traffic if you are going through the area.

I dont know why the right lane as you approach the lights southbound at Broadway has not been change to a” Right lane must turn right” like they do in larger cities when stuck with a short merge across an intersection. The north bound traffic on that section had the right lane closed off because of the problems with morons gunning the lights and the southbound side should also have that done . I guess a couple of people will have to get killed before something intelligent is done with that section of suicide alley. Same problem at John and Algoma northbound and Algoma and River northbound. This city is still having traffic run like they did 50 years ago.
