Is there anyone else that feels this city is getting to be pretty dangerous?
I hear of all sorts of talk although I never hear concerns for the children in schools.
Yeah, sure they lock all the doors except for the main entrance but is that really enough?
There are two schools that I know of personally that are always completely locked up and you must buzz and be recognized on camera to be allowed to enter.
Why isn’t all schools doing this?
I would much rather have the “inconvenience” ( as some might see it ) of waiting to be let in, rather then anyone being able to access into the schools.
I feel like this topic should be spoken about in light of what has been going on around our city.
I know the old saying ” If it’s not broken, don’t fix it “, however I don’t feel like this should necessarily be the way some feel.
I don’t want something terrible to happen in order to fix the system.
A lock down should be manditory with ALL schools to keep these babies safe.
In all honesty, I don’t think a secretary, principal or teacher can do much to deter a person with bad intentions, not until its too late.
We have so much technology these days, there really isn’t a reason why we haven’t asked for something more like a camera and having to buzz.
Maybe I am just an overly real concerned parent and perhaps I, at times over think……
However, this is a serious concern to me in order for me to feel like the system is designed to #1) keep our children safe when they are in the schools hands and #2) teach them….
I would love to know other people’s views on this…. Am I the only one that feels this way?
