(THUNDER BAY, ON) – UPDATE: Shyanne has been located and is currently back with her family.
EARLIER: A chilling statement made by a mother who claims her daughter was abducted from plain sight hit our newsroom this morning.
Shyanne Boulette A.K.A. “Shyanne Tait” is missing after an incident unfolded where her mother says she was abducted. She says that a truck similar to a CN Rail truck abducted her daughter and about 7 people were involved. The incident is said to have unfolded near the CP Rail station.
Details are thin at this time but we do know that her mother has not heard from her since she was abducted.
Police have been called and notified of the incident. A video has been released with further details below. A number of videos have been obtained and are below:
Second video is below.
Third video is below:
Fourth video below:
A worker that was on location has reached out to us and added some additional information to this report. They tell us that the family had entered private property and ignored requests to leave. they were going through company vehicles and when they found nothing, proceeded to the train tracks where train traffic was disrupted.
Train traffic was disrupted when the family approached conductors and interfered with their duties to direct trains.
Further, the worker said that the incident did not take place at the CP Rail station.
At one point, a male was punching the window of a company vehicle with his fists and saying “I can hear you, I’m getting you out” repeatedly. Once the truck was opened for him, he he appeared mind-blown that the woman was not in the truck.
Workers on location had told the man as well as police that no woman had been there at all and he was asked to leave. The videos are said to be recorded during the man’s second trip to the train station.
The statement below was made by Mary Thomas.
“This is the only time I want the Thunder Bay City Police to prove me wrong. I wish you prove me wrong about CN Rail, Shyanne and this whole situation. I won’t stop until she makes contact with her mother and her family. Help bring her home safely by sharing our information. The Police are doing their own thing respectfully. We -the grassroots people can make thing happen if we help each other. Please spread the word.” Once again, the incident is said to have taken place near the CP Rail station, not CN.
We are working to gather more details. Police have not yet confirmed any details as of the time of this publication. There is a chance that if it was a CN truck, it may have been stolen.
Anyone with further information regarding Shyanne’s whereabouts are urged to contact police at 807-684-1200.
