POLICE SEEK BREAK & ENTER THEFT SUSPECT

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – On August 27, 2018 at approximately 2:28 p.m. members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a break and enter and theft from Government Road West, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The incident occurred between 4:00 p.m. on August 26 and 2:28 p.m. on August 27, 2018.

The commercial business known as the old Lasalle Theatre, was broken into and the following items were taken:

  • Five cordless power tools, combination of DeWalt and Makita brand,
  • A number of small tools, and
  • Several brand new unused light fixtures, still in the box

The cost of this theft is valued at approximately $1000.

On August 28, 2018 shortly before 9:00 a.m., members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a second break and enter and theft from Government Road West, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The incident would have occurred between 7:30 p.m. on August 27 and 8:30 a.m. on August 28, 2018. In this incident, the following items were taken:

  •  One light fixture,
  •  One large spool of construction reinforced wire,
  •  One pair of work boots, and
  •  Multiple brand new amplifiers.

The value of this theft is estimated at $1000.

The Kirkland Lake OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
