Five bank robberies/heists completed and two men have been arrested.

(TORONTO, ON) – Toronto Police Service Hold Up would like to make the public aware of a series of five armed bank robberies that were committed between Friday, December 14, 2018, and Friday, January 11, 2019.

It is alleged that during each of the bank robberies the two men drove to the bank branches. One man would exit the vehicle and enter the branch by disguising his identity with a bandana covering his lower face, a hoodie pulled tightly around his face and gloves.

The man would then remove a long-barreled revolver from his pants and confront the branch staff demanding money and ordered the vault opened. The man would then bring a plastic bag, point the firearm at the victims and ordered the money be placed in the plastic bag.

During each robbery, the man fled the branch to the awaiting get-away vehicle which was driven by another man.

Hold Up officers commenced an investigation and two men were arrested on Friday, January 11, 2019. A fully loaded .357 magnum revolver and cash that was taken during the last robbery was seized.
