DRUNK MAN LANDS CHARGES

(RED LAKE, ON) – On July 20, 2018 Red Lake OPP were conducting foot patrol within the municipality when they came upon a group of intoxicated persons.

One of the intoxicated individuals became confrontational with the police during the arrest and attempted to disarm one of the officers.

As a result William Sukiennik (61) of Red Lake has been charged with:

• Disarming a peace officer, contrary to section 270.1(1) of the Criminal Code
• Resist peace officer, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code

Sukiennik is to appear in court August 30, 2018 in Red Lake.
