(RED LAKE, ON) – On September 23, 2019 at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Highway 105, approximately 10 kilometers South of Ear Falls.
Officers located a lone side-by-side in the northbound ditch amongst multiple empty alcoholic beverage containers. The officers made contact with the driver, who was now occupying a different motor vehicle and was subsequently arrested for Operation While Impaired, and was returned to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation Annette DUCHARME, 52, of Dryden, was charged with:
- 1x Operation While Impaired – Alcohol contrary to Section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- 1x Operation While Impaired – 80 plus contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
DUCHARME was released by way of a Promise to Appear in Red Lake court on October 17, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. to answer to the charges.
