(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On April 11, 2019 at 5:00 pm, officers of the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on the 300 Block of Scott Street, in the Town of Fort Frances.
After speaking the driver, he subsequently failed the roadside test and was arrested at the scene.
Kenneth Boshkaykin, 54 years of age, of Fort Frances, was transported to the Fort Frances Detachment for breath tests, where he failed to provide a breath sample. Subsequently he has been charged with;
- Fail or refuse to comply with demand contrary to section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code.
- Driving while Prohibited contrary to section 320.18 of the Criminal Code.
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code
As well as Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act charges.
His motor vehicle was towed from the scene and as a result of the driver being a prohibited driver the motor vehicle was seized for 45 days.
No fences appear to have been harmed due to this incident.
He was released to appear in court on May 6, 2019 in Fort Frances Provincial Court to answer to the charges.
