Woman Assaulted Again, Convicted Criminal Arrested Again

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – 32-year-old Adam John Goodwin appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court this morning after a woman was assaulted on Friday the 13th of September. He was arrested by police and held in a cell at the Thunder Bay Police Service Station (A.K.A. “Hotel Balmoral”).
He appeared via video link for court in front of Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic. Crown Attorney Afton Brown was fighting on the side of the people as duty counsel attempted to bring joy into the court room.
Goodwin is facing the following criminal charges following a Friday the 13th incident:

  • Assault (on a woman).
  • Breaching probation order (not to contact the woman he is alleged to have assaulted).
  • Breaching recognizance peace bond (keep the peace and be of good behaviour).

Goodwin is still hammering through the criminal justice system from a November 20th, 2018 incident. At least one mischief charge is believed to arose from this incident, or at least be left outstanding to sort out. Goodwin was put on probation about 2 months ago and is already alleged to not only have broken his “no contact order”, but also assaulted the victim.
The Crown fights hard and manages to keep Goodwin behind bars, at least for now. A Tuesday bail hearing is scheduled for Goodwin in which he is expected to have a bail hearing. He is ordered to remain in custody until at least that date.
Goodwin is sent back to his cell at the police station where he will wait until prisoners get transported to the Thunder Bay District Jail (A.K.A. “Algoma Bed & Breakfast”).
