JULY 14, 2019 (GREENSTONE, ON) – A recent and very concerning incident has unfolded in Geraldton at a home that was the residence of a member of the community.
We have been told that a woman was visiting the man’s home in the 700 block of First Avenue East and once he had fallen asleep for the evening, she had let two other men into the house. One of the men was wearing a mask. Then the two males and possibly the female started to beat the home owner with a crow bar and drill. There was also a pellet gun involved as well as the victim being stabbed multiple times.
Sources further indicate that it is alleged the trio dragged the man out of the home and tried to put him in the back of a vehicle but was disrupted by the Ontario Provincial Police responding to the home as a person in the area dialed 911.
The trio fled the scene and a media release asking the public to locate a male and female was released. The second male was wearing a mask during the incident so his identity was not confirmed at the time. The trio are believed to be actively involved in the crystal methamphetamine trade. The home owner/victim does not have anything to do with crystal methamphetamine. The victim was robbed of a few hundred dollars and is currently at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in unrecognizable condition due to the severe beating that almost took his life.

    1. What we need in this country is a “stand your ground” law like they have in the U.S. Punks kick down your door, greet them with anything that will give them a miserable, agonizing, lifelong reminder of the mistake they made. Chances are that will also cure them of any future desires to invade someone else’s home.
