Violent Home Invasion / Robbery Lands Woman Behind Bars

(GREENSTONE, ON) – Roughly a week after obtaining bail from previous criminal charges levied against a 32 to 33-year-old Michelle Dupuis, officers with the Greenstone detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have once again arrested the woman.
During the early morning hours of September 25th, 2019, officers responded to an address where reports came in that a woman had been assaulted with a stick and had a TV and gaming console robbed from her.
Quick-acting officers sprung into action and arrest Dupuis. She has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon (stick).
  • Forcible entry into a home.
  • Robbery (TV and gaming console).
  • Breaching bail conditions (no weapons).

Dupuis appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court this morning via video link while in custody at the Greenstone OPP detachment. His Worship, Regional Senior Justice of the Peace Bernard Caron was presiding along with Crown Attorney Afton Brown and duty counsel lawyer Lianne Roberge.
Dupuis was just released from jail just about a week ago for matters pertaining to an assault and two breach of probation charges. The Crown is opposed to her release from jail today and requests an order that Dupuis not contact two people while in jail.
The Justice of the Peace orders Dupuis to remain in jail for the time being. She has a future court date scheduled where she will have another swing at being released.
