(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Initial reports by people who are on the scene tell TRCCTB.COM that a stabbing has taken place at a north-side motel and bar.
The Midtown Inn, formerly known as the Shoreline Motor Motel, which also houses the Pier, is the location of a stabbing that happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 10th, 2019.
Numerous officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service responded to the scene along with at least one Superior North EMS ambulance.
Sources indicate that the male that was stabbed is a drug dealer from southern Ontario who was in a room on the fourth floor at the Midtown. He goes by the street name of “Marcus” and was in room 411 with a pregnant woman and two other young girls.

Our sources further indicate that some local Thunder Bay males attacked the out of town drug dealing gang member and during the incident he was poked with a knife and was bleeding significantly. The Thunder Bay males fled the scene. The gang member made his way to the lobby, requesting an ambulance and complaining that he could not breathe well.
As of 7:00 am, police officers were guarding the door to room 411. Nobody was allowed in.
Residents in the area tell us that they are fed up with how the city is overrun with bad drugs and bad people from down south preying on our most vulnerable. They were referring to the Midtown as the “Oddfellows of the North” during our discussions.
This is a developing story and we will have more information as it becomes available.
