STABBING: Cumberland Police Presence

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A late-afternoon police presence in front of Andras Court, located at the corner of Water and Cumberland, has some area residents concerned.

A disturbance broke out at the north-side multi-unit residential complex which resulted in a 911 call being made and a person with significant injuries.

A tipster in the area tells us that a man and a woman were arguing when a knife was pulled and one of them was injured.

The violence ended soon after it started and officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) arrived along with paramedics from Superior North EMS.

Our tipster left the scene before being able to confirm if an arrest was made or whether or not the injured woman went to the hospital. She was suffering from an injury to her head from the knife.

  1. “Sighs” Home Sweet Home. I was sitting out on the Lake St side of the building talking with a friend. Thought I had heard arguing somewhere in the building. Explains why my dog was going nuts. He must have heard the woman in distress. My dog is very pertective of females.
