(RAT PORTAGE, ON) – Hardworking officers with the Rat Portage First Nation detachment of the Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) have slapped handcuffs on 43-year-old Lonny Paishk and arrested him after an investigation into a serious sexual assault proceeded.
Paishk was arrested within the last 24 hours and was held in police custody pending a court appearance. He appeared in a Thunder Bay Courthouse courtroom this morning via telephone call from the Rat Portage T3PS detachment.
Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon was presiding along with Crown Attorney Derrick “the HAMMER” Silvestro and duty counsel lawyer Robert Atatise.
Paishk is facing a single charge of sexual assault.
He was not released from jail today and has a future court date scheduled in Kenora on Monday, December 9th, 2019. He is going to be transported to the Kenora District Jail where he will likely remain until his inevitable release.
