Renco’s Heist Suspect Arrested, Charges Laid

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On November 22nd, 2019, the Renco’s located in Centennial Square (beside Victoriaville Mall), fell victim to a theft. Hardworking officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service responded to the scene and arrested a suspect.

25-year-old Quinn Ray Cheechoo was picked up by officers and held at the police station on Balmoral pending a court appearance. Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbons was presiding along with Crown Attorney Tamara Fairchild and duty counsel representative Joy Wakefield.

Cheechoo is facing the following charges stemming from the November 22nd incident:

  • Theft under $5000.
  • Breaching a probation order made on July 24th, 2019 (keep the peace and be of good behaviour).

Further, Cheechoo is already working his way through the criminal justice system on an outstanding charge of theft under $5000.

He is denied bail today and scheduled to return to court on Monday. He is being sent to the overcrowded and understaffed Thunder Bay District Jail where he is likely to remain until at least his court appearance on Monday.

    1. How I yearn for the city we knew thirty years ago before this louse infestation that’s turned the town into Dumpster Bay. So many of these disgusting criminals destroying the town like a malignant disease.
