Police Make Impaired Driving Arrests

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Over the weekend of December 6, to December 8, 2019 members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police continued to actively conduct enforcement of impaired drivers through the use of many different RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) initiatives.

As a result of these RIDE checkpoints and traffic stops three persons in the Rainy River District were charged criminally.

These charges included:

Jody Jolicouer-Fisk age 50 years was charged with:

  • Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
  • Operation of a motor vehicle with blood alcohol concentration above 80 mg contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

Cory Fry (pictured) age 34 years was charged with:

  • Operation of a motor vehicle with blood alcohol concentration above 80 mg contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

Keith Blair age 74 years was charged with:

  • Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
  • Operation of a motor vehicle with blood alcohol concentration above 80 mg contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The Rainy River District OPP would like to remind people to drive sober and make alternate arrangements for transportation if you will be consuming drugs or alcohol.
