(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Yesterday, allegations arose that surrounded 26-year-old Sheldon Costa regarding a number of brutal assaults that took place.
Allegations are that Costa may have assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her father. Children are believed to have been present.
Costa then fled the scene of his ex-girlfriends home and was believed to have been hiding. A Facebook account with the same name as Costa was advocating his innocence and was pressing that police was not looking for him.
This morning sometime, Costa showed up at his ex-girlfriends house and while he was there, a window on a door was destroyed. Allegations are that Costa may have destroyed this window during a fit of rage.
The Facebook account with Costa’s name appeared to admit to forcibly confining his ex-girlfriend, assaulting her and her father, and threatening to return to the home to get “half” and claims common-law.
Police arrived at the residence after a 911 call was made and Sheldon Costa was apprehended by police on location. It is believed he was transported down to the Thunder Bay Police Service headquarters located at 1200 Balmoral Street. It is uncertain if police laid an additional charge regarding his nasty sweater.
This is a developing story and we will update it soon.
