POLIC PRESENCE: Police Swarm Southern and Simpson

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – For a second time this evening, hardworking officers are braving the cold in their never ending duty to battle crime and bring those responsible in front of a Judge.

Tonight, there was a large police presence at a building near the corner of Southern and Simpson.

Residents in the area tell us that “that crime van”, which is speculated to be the Forensics Unit, was spotted on location along with numerous police cruisers.

What we had heard is that a serious incident unfolded as screaming emanated out of the residence.

An entire floor of the apartment building is currently a “no go” zone as police have it blocked off.

Sources in the area believe that someone was serious injured in an altercation over the illegal drug trafficking trade. A Black male, believed to be a gang member along with two Indigenous males were seen fleeing the scene shortly after blood-curdling screams came ringing out of the apartment.
