(KENORA, ON) On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at approximately 2:00 p.m, members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a break and enter in the north side of the City of Kenora.

Police attended and were advised that two suspects had forced entry into the residence and also had a firearm.

The suspects stole electronics and left the residence. The descriptors of the suspects were provided to police.

With the assistance of the Northwest Region Canine Unit, Kenora Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, Kenora Street Crime Unit and Youth and Crisis Unit, the two suspects were located and arrested at approximately 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

TRCC News sources indicate that one person arrested is a Paypompee.

More details to be released, the investigation is continuing. We expect police to provide further information that includes the shooting that took place.

(KENORA, ON) – Residents in Kenora have reported to our newsroom that gunshots have been ringing in the city since this morning.

Our sources, who wish to remain anonymous for their own safety say that they believe three people have been shot in Kenora today.

The earliest gunshots went off around 8:30 am this morning on or near Cambrian.

Another man was shot around Third street and there is a third victim which we have not been able to confirm details about.

A home was the victim of an armed robbery where a gun was used. Sources believe that the home was likely a trap house and was robbed for crystal meth.
