(POPLAR HILL, ON) – FRYING PAN ATTACK IN POPLAR HILL SENDS ONE MAN BY AIR AMBULANCE.
SHE WAS SWINGING INSTEAD OF COOKING.
HARDWORKING NISHNAWBE ASKI POLICE OFFICERS ARREST 38 YEAR OLD GEORGINA SUGGASHIE AFTER SHE ALSO ALLEGEDLY CAUSED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE VICTIM’S PROPERTY.
SUGGASHIE WAS DENIED CONSENT RELEASE AND IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD AT THE KENORA JAIL
On the evening of Sunday September 1,2019 the NAPS Officers responded to a serious incident at a home on the Poplar Hill Indian Reserve to find a very badly injured man. Thousands of dollars of damage was also caused to the victim’s property in his home.
The victim is still being assessed by doctors but it’s suspected he has brain damage.
The hardworking NAPS Officers quickly arrested 38 year old GEORGINA SUGGASHIE for this alleged violent and destructive display.
THE NAPS THROUGH THEIR INVESTIGATION ALLEGE THE WEAPON USED BY THE ACCUSED WAS A METAL FRYING PAN.
SUGGASHIE is facing an aggravated assault charge for the frying pan attack.
She is also facing a mischief over $5000 dollars for allegedly destroying or damaging numerous items in the man’s home. Everything from plates to appliances were subject to her violent outburst.
SUGGASHIE HAS A HISTORY OF VIOLENT BEHAVIOUR WITH SEVERAL CONVICTIONS.
She appeared in Bail Court before His Worship Justice of the Peace Marcel Donio on Monday where the Crown Attorney had serious concerns about releasing SUGGASHIE and would not consent.
She is being held in custody at the Kenora Jail where she will make Bail Court video appearance on Wednesday September 4,2019.
