Current River Murder Continues to be Investigated

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the homicide of Nazareth Andrew KWANDIBENS.

Officers were originally dispatched to a residential address in the 300 block of Arundel Street just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 following reports of a death.

The scene was officially released on Sunday, Nov. 17. Meanwhile, a post-mortem examination of the victim took place in Toronto on Saturday, November 16th.

Investigators with the service’s Major Crimes Unit are examining evidence of this ongoing homicide investigation.

Police announced the arrest of 40-year-old Johnathon Mark MCKAY (pictured), of Thunder Bay, on Thursday, Nov. 14. He was subsequently charged with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the death of KWANDIBENS.
