  1. Tell your people not to drink until they black-out as well. I am in no way saying that he deserved this but I think that point needs to be made as well. Dangerous business blacking out in bars. Maybe he started something? Even he can’t say. It would also be good if bars didn’t serve intoxicated patrons as required by law. Get well soon!

    1. Who said he blacked out from drinking? The brain often wipes your memory from recalling traumatic events. You assumed a bunch there.

    2. Nowhere does it say he was drinking and “blacked” out. The story says the last thing he remembers is being at the bar. This is indicative of a brain injury, as evidenced by the diagnosed concussion. Victims of brain injury do not recall the incidents leading up to the trauma, and is called post-traumatic amnesia.

    3. Been tylers friend since we were kids. Hes never been one to pick a fight or drink till blackout. If he cant remember what happened, its because his brain suffered trauma. Dont say stupid shit when you know nothing.

    4. Or perhaps he can’t remember what happened because he got the shit beat out of him?!
Short term memory loss goes hand in hand with head trauma, you tit.

  2. The original story has been completely erased and replaced by another. My original comment makes less sense now. Total re-writes make it impossible to comment intelligently.
Original story was a cut-and-paste Facebook post by Mother of victim. She used the phrase “Tell your people…” in her post referring to people you love and I echoed it.
Traumatic brain injury tends to cause memory loss from the injury onward. Usually it doesn’t tend to erase your memory of what happened before the injury. Did he get beaten in the bar and now he can’t recall anything else after that? That’s wasn’t/isn’t the story.
Now story includes the time he left the pub. Originally it did not. Does he now remember leaving the pub? Do his friends recall him leaving? Original story said the last thing he remembered was drinking at the pub.
If he does indeed remember leaving then the point made regarding traumatic brain injury erasing the memory of the injury is very possibly valid.
My main point was that bars can be very dangerous places. Flashing cash while paying for drinks can get you robbed when you leave. An innocent glance at the wrong woman early in the evening can get you beaten by a jealous drunk when you leave. Best the wrong guy at pool and you can get a beating too. Alcohol and violence go hand-in-hand.
Everyone should avoid drinking at bars to the point of impairment. It makes a dangerous situation even more dangerous. This shit happens. It shouldn’t but it does. I am not blaming the victim. I am only encouraging caution when drinking to impairment around strangers who are also drinking.
