(WINNIPEG, MB) – Thieves in Winnipeg have stepped up their brazenness and have assaulted, dragged, and robbed a security guard working at a north side convenience store.
The 7/11 security guard can been seen in the video being dragged, shouted at, and assaulted during the altercation.
Sources say that the guard was wearing a vest that is supposed to protect against being stabbed. The thieves made off with the vest.
The vest appeared on the Facebook marketplace shortly after the incident went down but was gone soon after.
This, along with the brazen liquor store thefts that are out of control, appear to show whats in store when a “no touch” policy is enacted and companies fail to support their security staff.
Security staff need to be given policies that allow them to do their job effectively and safely. Rumours are that this store is about to close due to the rampant theft happening at the location. This is the north end of Winnipeg.
