Her Worship, Denette Maslach is presiding. Provincial Crown Sheri Frenette is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.

The court hears allegations that RASEVYCH assaulted a police detective last evening and also resisted arrest by the detectives.

RASEVYCH was also allegedly in possession of someone’s stolen driver’s license, debit cards and credit cards which was taken from owner’s vehicle.

He has previous convictions related to “car surfing” – the act of going vehicle to vehicle to try steal contents inside the vehicle.

Crown Attorney Frenette is not consenting to his release. Duty Counsel Roberge informs RASEVYCH that he’s going to Thunder Bay Jail.

RASEVYCH states “I’m not supposed to go to jail, I want to go back to the hospital”. But he also indicates he’s been discharged from the hospital.

RASEVYCH is off to the jail but will appear in person tomorrow in Bail Court.

NO LOCAL MEDIA IS PRESENT.
