Sudden Death Arrest

(ONIGAMING FIRST NATION, ON) –On May 7, 2019, members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment received a request from the Treaty Three Police Service to assist with an investigation into a sudden death. A body was located near Siibinsing Road in the community of Onigaming First Nation. The victim was identified as 42-year-old Clayton BOB of Big Island First Nation.

As a result of the investigation, on May 18, 2019 Larry “JR” Melvin DUCK, aged 28 of Sabaskong First Nation, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault contrary to Section 268(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on May 21, 2019.

Members of the OPP Northwest Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Brad Collins of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) in conjunction with the Treaty Three Police Service are continuing this investigation.
